You may have seen yesterday (01/07/2020) the government released updated guidance for activity providers, which is generally good news for the children's activities sector and a great start to bouncing back.
As you know, the Children's Activities Association has been actively involved with helping the businesses in the sector navigate through this very challenging period and produced lots of guidelines, documentation and supporting materials as well as lobbying government.
We are delighted that the government has listened to membership bodies like the CAA and others lobbying them on behalf of the sector and used very similar wording in their guidelines to the letters we wrote and conversations we had with politicians and advisors. However, we appreciate there needs to be more clarity and further guidance, so we will continue to lobby for under 5's to be allowed to operate as soon as is deemed safe and appropriate by government.
The CAA will be updating our Covid 19 Guidelines for the Children’s Activities Sector (as we mentioned we would as soon as government advice changed) and all updates will be emailed out to all those that have registered to receive them.
