The CAA gives parents a swift way to get peace of mind knowing their chosen children's activity has signed up to a comprehensive code of practice and is working towards or achieved the independent CAA Accreditation.

Our Mission

  • Give parents a bench mark for all organised children's activities by establishing and improving consistent standards & accreditation


  • Give more children the opportunity to experience a wider range of organised activities 

 

 

 

Our Objectives

  • Establish a membership scheme for children's activity providers and supporting services - achieved in May 2015
  • Establish an accreditation scheme for children's activity providers - achieved in November 2015
  • Commission research, campaign for improvements and promote the benefits of children's activities
  • Award grants to community projects involving organised children's activities
  • Work with policy makers to influence relevant legislation 

Our Structure

The CAA is a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee so this means there are no shareholders and all profits must be used to benefit our mission and the community we serve which is our members, schools, nurseries, other venues, parents and children.

The CAA is governed by a diverse Board of volunteers including children’s activities providers and highly experienced and skilled individuals.  And the CAA Fellowship Members support the Board by getting involved in projects, ideas, information and contacts.

The Fellowship Members are leading providers of children's activities as well as other professionals and experts who work within the industry too.

The whole CAA team are all passionate about providing the best organised children's activities in the world and are dedicated to making the CAA a success.  

Our Achievements and Plans

Already the CAA has helped our community with some significant deliverables:

  •  The first independent accreditation for all children’s activities to help parents easily ensure the activities they choose for their children meet expected safety and quality standards AND for members it’s the first time they have been able to get independent endorsement of their programme
  • The first NVQ Level 2 for children’s activity leaders help members to recruit and retain employees and franchisees
  • A huge package of tangible benefits and experts support network to help members grow their businesses
  • The first national conference of children’s activities provider enabling them to learn and connect to grow their businesses

 The CAA also has projects in place to:

  •  Educate parents on the safety and quality standards they should expect from every activity they choose for their children
  • Expand the CAA independent accreditation to support micro businesses, party providers, play centres and thereby expanding the reach of expected safety and quality standards
  • Celebrate the millions of UK parents and children that enjoy and benefit from children’s activities every week

Longer term the CAA is committed to:
