The Children's Activities Association
The Children's Activities Association is the first industry-led, not-for-profit community interest company founded and governed by experts to help parents, schools, nurseries and all children's activities providers by raising the standard of all organised children's activities across the United Kingdom as well as give more families access to these excellent activities.
Activities, classes and clubs are a valued and much-loved part of most children’s pre-school and extracurricular leisure and learning time, but until now, there has been no formal guidelines to assist parents, schools and nurseries in choosing how to invest their time and money in popular pastimes.
The Children's Activities Association gives parents a swift way to get peace of mind knowing their chosen children's activity has signed up to a comprehensive code of practice and is working towards or achieved the independent Children's Activities Association Accreditation.
We've done all the hard work that now means only one question is needed when choosing an activity, “Are you a member of the Children's Activities Association?”
Parents, schools and nurseries no longer need to worry about what questions to ask about things like health and safety, child safeguarding, criminal record checks, qualifications or training.
All Fellowship Members contribute financially to the Children's Activities Association and provide skills that help us achieve our mission. Fellowship Members collaborate closely with the Board on projects, providing ideas and information.
Fully Accredited Members
The members listed below have completed all five accreditation modules, which cover compliance, training, customer service, programme, and delivery. Additionally, our independent accrediting organisation, Fundamentally Children, led by Dr. Amanda Gummer PhD, has visited with them to confirm that all policies and evidence are in order.
Although we have carried out a number of checks on the accredited third party activity providers listed on this site, as they are completely independent to us, we make no endorsement or any recommendation of their services (or any non-accredited provider listed on our site) and you use their services entirely at your own risk. We accept no liability whatsoever for any loss or other liability you (or any other person) may suffer as a result of you choosing such activity, other than liability which we are not legally permitted to exclude or limit.
